I’ve been thinking for a while about what career my future holds, and I’m starting to think that it might be librarian. There’s a lot to being a librarian that I feel a kinship with: sitting, using a computer, meeting new people, only talking to them for 2 or 3 minutes, knowledge, reading, community-type things. In any case, I was just wondering if anyone out there has recommendations for the best Library Science programs in the graduate world. Any help? Oh yeah it’s appreciated.

Whenever I have a burning question that I’m sure someone else has already asked, I check Ask Metafilter. Here’s a link to a question about MLIS programs, with some good answers, I think.

And although their rating system is of questionable composition, US News and World Report has their rankings here:

Hope it helps.
